Our Story
The Union Bank is more than just a restaurant to us—it's home.
Housed within a beautifully restored 165-year-old bank in the heart of Orange, The Union Bank has been lovingly owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Sarah Crowley and Executive Chef Dom Aboud since 2019.
After years working in some of Australia's leading hospitality venues, we shared a dream of creating something that felt different. A place where incredible food, genuine hospitality and a strong sense of community all came together under one roof.
For Dom, that starts in the kitchen. His menus celebrate the incredible producers of the Orange region while drawing inspiration from his Lebanese heritage, creating dishes that are generous, flavour-driven and designed to be shared.
For Sarah, hospitality has always been about people. Every detail—from the warm welcome at the door to the final goodbye—is about creating a place where everyone feels comfortable, cared for and excited to return.
Together, we've built The Union Bank around a simple philosophy: great food tastes even better when it's shared with the people you love.
Whether you're celebrating a milestone, catching up with old friends, enjoying a long lunch over local wine or simply stopping by for a quick weekday meal, we hope you'll feel right at home.
We believe the best conversations happen around a full table, wine is made to be poured generously, and no meal is complete without someone fighting over the last potato scallop.
